Aim and Scope

International Journal of Asian Social Science seeks to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research that explores the diverse social, cultural, political, economic, and historical dynamics of Asia. The journal aims to foster interdisciplinary and cross-cultural understanding by advancing scholarly work that highlights both regional and global perspectives. IJASS is committed to providing a platform for original research, theoretical analysis, and empirical studies that contribute to the development of social science knowledge and practices within and beyond the Asian context.
We welcome contributions from various disciplines within the social sciences, including but not limited to:

Sociology and Anthropology: Exploring social structures, cultural identities, gender studies, migration, urbanization, and indigenous knowledge systems in Asia.
Political Science and International Relations: Analyzing governance, political systems, diplomacy, security, regional cooperation, and policy-making within the Asian context.
Economics: Investigating issues such as economic development, inequality, labor markets, trade, finance, and sustainability in Asia.
History and Area Studies: Providing in-depth historical analysis and regional studies, examining the complex legacies of colonialism, conflict, and globalization in Asia.
Education and Social Development: Assessing educational systems, human development, health, poverty alleviation, and social welfare in diverse Asian societies.
Environmental and Sustainability Studies: Addressing environmental challenges, climate change, resource management, and sustainable development practices across Asia.
Public Policy and Social Justice: Focusing on policy innovations, governance reforms, human rights, and social equity issues in Asian countries.

In addition to traditional research articles, the journal will consider interdisciplinary and comparative studies, fieldwork-based research, and policy briefs that align with the aims of promoting a deeper understanding of Asian societies.

By providing a platform for rigorous scholarship, IJASS aspires to contribute to the intellectual and policy discussions shaping Asia’s future, making it a leading journal in Asian social science research.

Editorial Objectives and Coverage

IJASS accepts submissions from different regions of the world and aims to publish articles that can be both applied and theoretical from the fields of social sciences. The basic objective of the IJASS is to promote research on new advances in the fields of social sciences.

Peer Review Process

The editor or editorial assistant determines whether the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope. Next a check for the similarity rate is done using CrossCheck, powered by iThenticate. Any manuscripts out of the journal’s scope or containing plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, are rejected. The journal uses double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission.

Average Time

The average time between submission and final decision is 35 working days and the average time between acceptance and final publication is 10 to 15 days.

The journal is published Monthly (12 issues per year)

Being an international journal, the natural audience for IJASS includes students, academics, researchers, policy-makers, regulators, standard-setters and professionals in the fields of social sciences. Likely subscribers are universities, research institutions, research funding organizations, governmental and international agencies, financial institutions and exchanges, regulatory institutions and individual researchers.
